Why the glass here is harder

The Seacoast is rough on windows

Three miles inland, windows get dusty. Here, they get chemically attacked.

Salt carries a long way off the Piscataqua and the Atlantic, films onto glass, and dries into a haze that ordinary cleaner smears rather than removes. Pine and oak pollen sheets across south-facing panes every spring. Well-fed irrigation throws mineral-heavy water at the same three windows all summer until the calcium bonds to the surface. And in winter, road salt spray coats every storefront on the main roads.

None of that comes off with a bottle of blue spray and a paper towel. It is why a house in Rye needs cleaning three or four times a year and a house in Exeter needs it twice.

  1. You call or write

Tell us roughly how many windows, how many stories, and whether you want interiors. Most estimates are settled in one conversation.

  2. We give you a firm number

Priced on pane count and access, not a vague per-window rate. The number we say is the number you pay.

  3. We show up when we said

Not a four-hour window. An actual time. If weather moves us, you hear it from us first.

  4. We walk it with you

Before we pack up. If something is not right, it gets fixed while we are still standing there.

Straight pricing

You pay for the glass. The rest is your call.

The base clean is every pane, both sides, hand-detailed to the edge, frames wiped, every storey reached, floors protected. Beyond that — screens, tracks, storm panels, skylights, mineral stain removal — is quoted on top and itemised on the estimate. Nothing lands on the invoice that you did not agree to before we started.

Included in every clean

  • Glass hand-detailed edge to edge, inside and out
  • Frames, mullions, and muntins wiped
  • Second and third storey reached, no upcharge
  • Hard water and salt etching assessed and quoted honestly
  • Drop cloths down, furniture back, nothing left behind

Add-ons — quoted on top

  • Screens removed, washed, dried, reinstalled
  • Sills and tracks vacuumed and scrubbed
  • Storm windows and interior storm panels
  • Skylights and transoms
  • Hard water and mineral stain removal

Common questions

How much does window cleaning cost in Portsmouth, NH?

The base price covers the glass, priced on pane count, window style, and number of stories — a small ranch and a historic colonial with sixty divided lights are very different jobs even if the house looks the same size. Screens, tracks, storm panels, skylights, and hard water stain removal are add-ons quoted on top and itemised on the estimate. See the pricing page for a full breakdown, or call (603) 501-9572.

Do you clean the inside of windows as well as the outside?

Yes. Interior and exterior are both standard on residential work. Exterior-only is available if that is all you need, and it costs less.

How often should windows be cleaned on the Seacoast?

Twice a year for most homes — spring after the pollen drop and fall before the weather turns. Homes within about a mile of open water usually want three or four because of salt. Storefronts and restaurants are typically weekly or monthly.

Are you insured?

Yes. Certificates of insurance are available on request, which commercial property managers and landlords often need for their files.

What areas do you serve?

Portsmouth, Rye, New Castle, Greenland, Newington, North Hampton, Hampton, Exeter, Stratham, Dover, and Durham in New Hampshire, plus Kittery and York in Maine.

Do you clean gutters or wash siding too?

Our trade is glass — windows, screens, tracks, and hard water restoration. We would rather do that extremely well than do six things adequately.
